Beginning earlier this month, the annual San Diego State University Aztecs Rock Hunger (ARH) food drive is officially underway.

Led by SDSU’s Associated Students (A.S.), the campaign aims to combat food and nutrition insecurity in the SDSU and greater San Diego communities. This year’s drive will run through Oct. 27.

ARH is a partnership with the Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank. All donations benefit the A.S. Food Pantry, a free service for all SDSU students facing food insecurity, and the SDSU Economic Crisis and Response Team (ECRT), in addition to the Food Bank. Last year, SDSU’s ECRT assisted more than 1,700 students and distributed $55,000 in emergency food support.

There are several ways to donate to ARH:

On Venmo: @aztecsrock

CashApp: $aztecsrock

At all SDSU campus Starbucks, eateries, and markets

Via the SDSU Online Giving Portal (donations through this method are tax deductible)

Via the Online Virtual Food Pantry

Dropping off non-perishable food items in the A.S Office (3rd floor, SDSU Conrad Prebys Aztec Student Union)

Additional information about the annual campaign is available on the dedicated Aztecs Rock Hunger website.
